In-Building Church Service Temporary Guidelines

June 3, 2020

Dear Family and Friends of Faith Chapel,

We are excited to announce our return to in-building church services beginning Sunday, June 7th, 2020.  We will have two identical church services every Sunday. Our morning service will begin at 10:15 AM and our evening service will begin at 6:30 PM. Those individuals more concerned with social distancing and showing greater precaution during the Covid-19 pandemic should attend the evening service as we anticipate a smaller attendance.   Our Wednesday evening services will continue to be online only.

We advise anyone who is at high risk or who has underlying health conditions to listen to the service from the church parking lot on their radio, FM 103.7, or watch the service live on Facebook or on the church website, www.faithchapel.us.   For the foreseeable future, Sunday morning services will still be broadcasted in the church parking lot.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as masks, gloves, etc, is not required to attend in-building church services and should be worn at the discretion of the individual.  Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the building.

For the first two weeks of in-building services, we will not have Junior Church/Faith Kids or the nursery available.  We know that this may cause inconvenience for some, but we want to make sure we have the proper precautions and policies in place to best protect everyone involved.  During the month of June, we will not be having Sunday School or Youth Group.

You will notice some changes before, during, and after our in-building church service.  These have been put into place to protect those at high risk.  Changes will include but are not limited to:

  • ·         All doors will be propped open to avoid contact. Please do not attempt to close doors or touch handles.
  • ·         We will continue to not have available coffee and donuts.
  • ·         Greeters will be present to welcome you to church but will not be shaking hands or handing out bulletins.
  • ·         We will not be passing out bulletins at this time.  Beginning June 14th, announcements will be displayed on the lobby and sanctuary screens before and after church services.
  • ·         We will not be collecting an offering during the service.  At the end of the service, ushers will be available at rear of the sanctuary for you to give your tithes and offerings.
  • ·         During the service, we ask that you refrain from shaking hands, hugging, and other forms of physical contact.  While we understand that you may be personally comfortable engaging in such activities, those around you may not.   It is our desire to create an environment where as many individuals as possible can worship comfortably.
  • ·        Pastor Andrew and Ginger are excited to be able to meet with you but will not be at the rear of the sanctuary at the end of the service to shake your hand.  They will, however, be in the lobby to say hello and visit.
  • ·         Between all services, the building will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.

We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time of uncertainty.   Where technology has provided us the opportunity to worship apart from one another, it can never replace in person cooperate worship.  We understand that many have enjoyed and become comfortable participating and worshipping from the parking lot and via the internet.  We too have enjoyed these unique opportunities for worship during this time, but we encourage everyone to return to our in-building services as soon as they are comfortable to do so.  Viewing from online and listening from the parking lot will still be available. Please understand that the situation is still very fluid and some or all of the above guidelines and recommendations are subject to change.

Sincerely in Christ,

Pastor Andrew Taylor, Senior Pastor
