In our family we have two pets, a dog and a cat. I like them both, but there is definitely a difference between a cat and a dog. When you pet a dog it thinks to its self "He must be good" , but when you pet a cat it thinks to its self "I must be good". This probably seems like a silly ananlogy, but really Christians are this way too. God reaches down to do something for us and we have one of those two reactions either "he is really good" or "I am really good". The truth of the matter is God is good to us inspite of ourselves. We have what we have and will receive what we receive from him because of his mery and his grace. I would encourage you when God does something for you even something that seems small or insignificant think to yourself he must be good. James 1:17 Says "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning."

A pastor in North Carolina recently wrote an intersting article about this.

God has certain places he wants us to be, at certain times, with certain things to do. Let's look at a few things we can do in our Christian lives to make sure that we can arrive at the right places.

What a great day at church on Sunday, and what a privilege to remember those who have so bravely and selflessly served our country. We truly live in the greatest nation on earth, and we have our soldiers to thank for that. So with all the time with family and all the picnics this weekend I trust that we did not lose sight of what Memorial Day is truly all about. II Timothy 2 tells us that as Christians we are soldiers. As important as good soldiers are to the success of this nation, good soldiers are equally important to a successful Christian life. So what are some characteristics of a good soldier? Let's look at a few.

Have you ever wondered what God's will for your life is? Often people make it out to be some far off mystical thing, that we might discover one day. In reality God's Word is very clear on what his will for our lives is.
